The American Jewish Committee (AJC) has released its 2024 State of Antisemitism in America report, providing a comprehensive analysis of the current landscape of antisemitism in the United States. Based on extensive surveys conducted in the fall of 2024, the report offers insights into the perceptions and experiences of both American Jews and the general public regarding antisemitism.

Key Findings:

  • Behavioral Changes Due to Fear: For the first time, a majority (56%) of American Jews reported altering their behavior over the past year out of fear of antisemitism.

  • Online Antisemitism: Approximately 69% of Jewish adults experienced antisemitism online or on social media, with this figure rising to 83% among young Jewish adults.

  • Campus Climate: Nearly one-third (32%) of American Jewish college students felt that faculty on their campuses promoted antisemitism or fostered a hostile learning environment for Jews.

The report underscores the importance of continued efforts to combat antisemitism through education, community engagement, and policy advocacy. It serves as a vital resource for understanding the challenges faced by the Jewish community and for informing strategies to address and mitigate antisemitism in all its forms.
